Sample Document Checklist for a K-1 Petition

1. One color passport-style photograph of the U.S. Citizen and one passport-style photograph (in color) of the Fiancé(e).

2. Evidence that the Petitioner is a U.S. Citizen. (หลักฐานแสดงว่าผู้ยื่นคำร้องเป็นคนสัญชาติอเมริกัน)

• Copy of U.S. Birth Certificate; (สำเนาสูติบัตรหากเกิดในประเทศอเมริกา)

• Copy of Naturalization Certificate; (สำเนาใบเปลี่ยนสัญชาติ)

• Copy of Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA); (สำเนาหนังสือรับรองการเกิดที่ออกโดยสถานเอกอัครราชฑูต หรือสถานกงสุลใหญ่สหรัฐอเมริกา )

• Copy of unexpired U.S. Passport. (สำเนาหน้าไอดีของพาสปอร์ตประเทศอเมริกาที่ยังไม่หมดอายุ)

3. The fiancé’s government-issued ID or passport. (สำเนาบัตรประชาชนหรือพาสปอร์ตของคู่หมั้นชาวต่างชาติ)

4. If either the U.S. Citizen and/or the petitioner’s Fiancé(e) has previously been married, evidence that all prior marriages have been legally terminated.

หากซิติเซ่นผู้ยื่นคำร้อง หรือคู่หมั้นเคยแต่งงานมาก่อน ต้องใช้สำเนาใบหย่าหรือหลักฐานว่าการสมรสครั้งก่อนได้สิ้นสุดลงแล้ว 

5. Evidence of any name changes for either the U.S. Citizen or the Fiancé(e). หลักฐานการเปลี่ยนชื่อ หรือชื่อสกุลหากเคยเปลี่ยนชื่อหรือใช้ชื่ออื่นมาก่อน 

6. Evidence that the U.S. Citizen and Fiancé(e) have met each other in person within the past two years.

 หลักฐานว่าผู้ยื่นคำร้องและคู่หมั้นได้เจอกันตัวเป็นๆ ภายในเวลาสองปีที่ผ่านมา เช่น 

• Photos of the couple together (please label with dates, names, and locations.);

รูปถ่ายของทั้งสองคนด้วยกัน (โปรดระบุเวลา และสถานที่ในรูปด้วย) 

• Letters from friends and relatives;  (จดหมายรับรองจากเพื่อนหรือญาติ) 

• Copy of boarding passes and/or itineraries from trips to visit each other; สำเนาตั๋วเครื่องบิน 

• Entry/Exit stamps in passport ตราประทับเข้า/ออกประเทศในพาสปอร์ต

• Copies of communications between U.S. Citizen and Fiancé(e) (mail, email, texts, Whats app, etc.); and,

หลักฐานว่าทั้งสองคนติดต่อสื่อสารกันอย่างสม่ำเสมอในระหว่างที่ไม่ได้อยู่ด้วยกัน เช่นภาพถ่ายหน้าจอของบนสนทนา 

• Evidence of engagement celebrations (invitations, photographs, etc.). รูปถ่ายงานฉลองหมั้นหมาย 

*If any of these documents are in a foreign language, the following evidence is required: a copy of the original foreign language document, a full English translation, and a certification from the translator verifying that the translation is complete and accurate and that the translator is competent to translate from the foreign language to English.

*หากเอกสารเหล่านี้เป็นภาษาไทย จะต้องยื่นเอกสารฉบับแปลเป็นภาษาอังกฤษด้วย โดยจะต้องมี Certificate of Translation แนบมาด้วย
